August 2017

August 2017

We love summer.....and we love to travel and stay busy

Starting with
it was a wet day, total bummer, but we did get to tour some boats and then headed to lunch.

My favorite movie of all times is Dirty Dancing and the Vogue in Manistee, Michigan did a showing!! How awesome to see my favorite on the BIG SCREEN!! (even if my husband did fall asleep)

My first time to Mid Michigan Motorplex to watch the $50, 000 (50 Grander) Race

Mommy/Son day out!!
This kid has been asking for OxiClean for a few weeks now after seeing the commercial on youtube.

 Lots of Beach Days!!

Going to the Fair, Going to the Fair, Going to the Western Michigan Fair
We choose a beautiful sunny day for the Fair
Jennifer and I took the kids during the day to kids day and then my mom, nephew, Greg and Montgomery's dad met us for the Monster Truck Show at Night.
We go to ride the rides, see all the animals, and Montgomery got to ride on a Monster Truck twice!

Montgomery was so excited to have his nana and cousin join in the FUN AT THE FAIR!

OKLAHOMA was our next stop

Then we took Route 66 thru Oklahoma, what a fun adventure! I love to travel with this man!

...and I was so excited to see where my husbands love of racing began at US 30 Dragstrip in Indiana
"Sunday, Sunday, Sunday"

Greg was sad to see a swamp where the pits used to be, but we did travel down the strip, he is like a kid in a candy store as he recalls stotries and how he used to drive his race car to the track, being there as a kid with his dad. Those are the things I love about my husband. He has made so many memories growing up in Indiana.
seeing a sign reminds me of how much I love and miss my son while he is on daddy weekends, also is a reminder to me that I'm a wife and woman. I love him all the time, but lets be real, we all need a moment to ourselves.

NEXT STOP!!! VIRGINIA AND MARYLAND
with little man tagging along
Mini Family Trip

He was so excited to be able to tag along... the only other state he has been to is just into Indiana, so this was a big trip for him.
Pennsylvania he got his first fidget spinner

And just as it was getting late we arrived in Virginia, and stopped to get a hotel.
These 2 can butt heads, but watching them become closer is such an amazing thing for me to witness.
Montgomery and Mommy got to enjoy the pool all morning while Greg was out picking up the RACE CAR!!!!
Teach them young, and with my hospitality background, we ALWAYS TIP HOUSEKEEPING!!

Maryland was beautiful as always

Learning along the way. This is George Washington's Headquarters in the historic downtown district of Cumberland, Maryland in central Allegheny County
The cabin was originally built by General Edward Braddock's men, between 1755 and 1758 for then Colonel George Washington’s use during his service in the French and Indian War. He would later return and also used it briefly during 1794 then as the Commander in Chief, in order to review the troops gathered to put down the Whiskey Rebellion. This site is notable as it signifies Washington’s first military command. The original site lies on a hill that overlooks Wills Creek and the Potomac River.

It is almost Greg's Birthday, and our HOTEL was attached to an authentic Mexican Resturant, so we took shots of Tequila and sang in Spanish!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Between Cleveland and Sandusky OHIO (Near the NASA Glenn Visitor Center/ Cleveland Ohio) was were we were during the ECLIPSE 2017

Almost home, we stopped for one more thing to fit on the trailer.... A GOLF CART!!!
By the time we made it home, he was fast asleep! Amazing trip and so many firsts for this little guy!

We celebrated Greg's Birthday at home with a family dinner

Hope you had the best birthday so far!!!!
